Bloodstone is a powerful stone.

It is most notably associated with the blood vessels and the blood. The energetics of the stone directly target the energetics of the blood and blood vessels. It can do this because it causes the spirit to fully inhabit the blood and blood vessels.

This makes it the first choice in stone for people who are concerned with or struggle with possession-- possession by ghosts or demons. Even psychic attempts at possession by others.

For example, let's say you struggle with fawning over someone. When you are with that person, you do everything they say to do even when it's outside your alignment. Even when you don't want to. Even when you do not have the energy or the means to do that thing.

When you are not near that person, you are frustrated and confused. You promise yourself that you will not do that thing again. Then when you are near them again, you find yourself doing every single thing they say!

You are not a failure. This is a perpetual attempt at psychic possession. 9/10 people who do this do not realize they are doing it. They are doing it from their own feelings of wounding. This is a learned behavior typically from childhood. 

That's not to say that it's okay for them to take advantage of you! 

Bloodstone's effects will bring these situations to your attention so you will recognize the control as it's happening, and eventually start to say no with grace and ease. 

Bloodstone on its own will not just fix your problem. The only reason you are susceptible to any kind of possession-- psychic, demonic, ghost, etc-- is because there is a wounding pattern that is important to figure out and heal for yourself.
