Amethyst is a super powerful stone! 

Amethyst allows us to hold our boundaries strong. It holds our boundaries both for ourselves and with others. It is able to do this because it allows you to fully access your authentic self. This "access" is not just a portal into your authentic self, but is actually holding you accountable to maintain your authentic self.

This means that you simply CANNOT do things that are out of alignment-- like cheat on your intuitive eating plan or accidentally let another person manipulate you. 

This makes it a great stone for healing through any addictions, including addictions to personality types you have a problem with. For example, many people are addicted to abusive personalities or even needy personalities. Other people are addicted to stress or even sugar. Amethyst helps you fully commit to the boundaries you need to have in order to fully express your authentic Self.

Be forewarned-- once you start using amethyst regularly, these boundaries will create a pruning in your life. You will no longer be able to tolerate the actions or non-actions of people you used to tolerate. They may become frustrated with you and fall away or get angry. Recognize this is part of the process and does not last forever, though it does hurt. (during this phase, you may want to start using Rose Quartz in addition because that will help soothe the emotional pains)

Because Amethyst creates a powerful connection to the authentic Self, many people report improved intuitive or "psychic" abilities. When you are fully connected to your Self, you know or perceive things that "don't make sense." This is very normal. We are actually all entitled to having incredible gifts and knowledge that "don't make sense." We don't have them or are not aware of them because of our disconnection.
