If you hate exercise, this may be the reason why.
Exercise forces us to feel uncomfortable feelings that we have been pushing down for a long time.
Any exercise that improves your balance or works on your deep muscles or creates new neural pathways will also dredge up old emotions for processing.
This is why "gym-heads" work out their emotions in the gym.
People who are energetically sensitive don't want to just get rid of their emotions. They want to really feel them. (not at first, but that's a different story!)
So subconsciously, people who are energetically sensitive want to save their emotions for later. THEN they have saved up too many to deal with at once and completely hide from them.
They don't want to go to the gym because it's too emotional.
Practices that involve paying attention to the body deeply are often favored by energetically sensitive people because it does both-- stirs up the emotion and creates space to experience them.
You don't have to only take yoga or tai chi in order to experience this. You can weight lift or do cardio. Pay attention to your thoughts while you are exercising. Feel emotions between sets. Remember to fully and deeply breathe. Meditate when you are done.
You CAN do this!
